               Customs

The Bahamas have a lot of different customs.  One example is gesstures.  When you see a person, you are supposed to greet them with warm hugs, pats on a back, or handshakes.  You usually use hand gestures and facial expressions. A person that has blank expressions, is considered  negative. To express disgust, you make a sucking sound with your teeth and tilt your head back.  A typical greeting is, Hey man, what's happin', or Good day.  Bahamians usually arrive late, about one or two hours late.  Family meals usually are on Sundays.
